Tessa Thompson's 'Thor: Ragnarok' wig came at an astronomical cost
Tessa Thompson is a national treasure worth her weight in gold.
And that's basically what her Thor: Ragnorokwig cost, according to a new Huffington Post interview with her Sorry to Bother Youdirector Boots Riley.

But the two characters couldn't have had more different hair styles, with Valkyrie rocking a pragmatic yet elegant flowing ponytail, and Detroit slaying with short, colorful ringlets.
So in order to make the simultaneous shoots work, Disney decided to spring for a hairpiece that put its enormous budget to good use.
The $10,000 wig (and no, that's not a smudge on your screen, but indeed a five-figure number) did the trick. But reportedly, Disney wasn't too happy about the whole thing.
Riley said he later tried to apologize to Thor: Ragnorok director Taika Waititi, who gave him a totally Korg response.
"He was like, 'It's not my money!" Riley recalled.
Never change, Taika. You are also a treasure as valuable as a million Marvel-funded wigs.
