Cats peer out of pockets in Japanese artist's embroidered shirts
UPDATE September 6, 2016, 9:30 a.m. EST — Hiroko Kubota reached out to Mashableand this article was updated to include new information.
Have you ever wanted to carry your cat in your pocket all day in a not-weird way?
Japanese artist Hiroko Kubota's archives of custom-made shirts feature hundreds of different cats emerging from pockets via meticulous embroidery.

"He is a cat lover and has a lot of cute cat photographs [from] the internet [on his computer]," she wrote to Mashable.
When a photo of one of her creations started going viral online, she opened an Etsy shop where she would custom-make orders. Kubota said she typically sold the shirts on Etsy for about $320.
Kubota no longer sells the customized garments via Etsy, but she does still make them – with a waitlist of about two years.
Her book, which features photos of many of her creations, is available on Amazon.
More of Kubota's artwork is available for view on Flickr, including shirts featuring dogs, Pokémon and more.
