Fox Sports bro goes on CNN and says he believes in 'boobs'

What. Just. Happened.

In what may be the most unnecessary statement of the day, Fox Sports Radio host Clay Travis used a sexist joke in an attempt to decry the state of the nation and criticize ESPN. He's a troll, and he's not even good at it.

Travis appeared on CNN on Friday to discuss a controversy surrounding the White House and ESPN personality Jemele Hill, who called Trump racist on Twitter earlier this week. The White House and many Trump supporters want her fired, Trump tweeted about it, and ESPN released a statement saying her views do not represent those of the company. Hill was not fired for her tweets.

CNN host Brooke Baldwin asked Travis why the president decided to single out ESPN and Hill, when plenty of others have criticized him for his racist views. That's when Travis explained his viewpoint on ESPN's political policy. Then he mentioned boobs?

"Because ESPN is not in the business of commenting randomly on political-related issues," said Travis. "If you look at their history, they established about 18 months ago that they don't believe their people should be involved in non-sports related political controversies. They suspended and then fired Curt Schilling for saying that he disagreed with the North Carolina transgender bathroom bill. And that had absolutely nothing to do with sports and they said, 'Look, you can't have this opinion, it's too conservative. We're not going to allow it.' I think that's a bad move. I'm a first amendment absolutist. I believe in only two things completely. The first amendment and boobs."

Baldwin was shocked. She stopped Clay to clarify that he indeed said boobs and not booze.

"Wait, did you just say you believe in the first amendment and -- hold on, I just want to make sure I heard you correctly as a woman anchoring the show, what did you just say?" Baldwin asked. "You believe in the first amendment and b-double-o-b-s?"

He stuck with it, doubling down on the comment.

"Boobs, two things that never let me down, the first amendment and boobs," Clay said. "Those are the two things I believe in absolutely in the country. I don't think Jemele Hill should be fired, but I do think straight up once you make the decision that you're going to let Curt Shilling go, you have to also make the decision you're going to let Jemele Hill go."

Keith Reed, who's face was absolutely priceless throughout the entire interaction said he was "astonished at almost everything I just heard."

Again, Baldwin clarified that he was saying boobs, and not booze.

"Why would you say that live on national television, and with a female host, why would you even go there?" she asked.

"I say that all the time on the radio because it's true and that's what I do," Clay responded. "Because I likeboobs and the first amendment, which is exactly what I said."

Reed later shot him down.

"I'm not talking about that on television because it's irrelevant to the topic. It shouldn't be brought up here," Reed fired back when Travis asked if he liked boobs.

Baldwin then shut down the segment.

We're just sitting here wondering if those comments are enough for Fox Sports to part ways with one of their own.

Travis later bragged about the incident.

Many were upset with his comments, others were not surprised.
