Snapchat is down right now.
Outage reports first started coming in shortly before 10 am ET. There have been more than 93,000 reports logged on DownDetector in the last 30 minutes. (DownDetector is owned by Mashable’s parent company, J2 Global.)

Snapchat confirmed the outage on Twitter at around 10:30 a.m. ET. As of publishing, hashtag #snapchatdown is currently the number one trend on Twitter.
“We're aware many Snapchatters are having trouble using the app” tweeted the @SnapchatSupport account. “Hang tight - we're looking into it.”

While many users are first noticing issues with Snapchat now, users on the West Coast had reportedan outage in the wee hours of the morning. DownDetector confirms that earlier Snapchat outage as well.

As many people self-quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic, it’s actually a bit surprising how few social media outages there have been, considering how many people are using these services.
